January Dinner Out: Portillo’s; Wednesday, January 29 from 4-8pm. Take a night off of cooking and celebrate Catholic School’s Week by helping us raise funds for our amazing school!

Tuition assistance scholarship grants from the endowment fund established as a result of the Diocese of Peoria ROOTED IN FAITH Campaign and named in honor of Archbishop Spalding, the first Bishop of Peoria, will be available for the 2020-2021 school year for students enrolled in or intending to enroll in grades Kindergarten through 12 in any Catholic school located in the Diocese of Peoria whose families are active members of a Catholic parish in the diocese. All grants will be based on financial need objectively assessed. Information about the grants and application materials may be obtained from any Catholic elementary or secondary school in the Diocese of Peoria or on the Diocesan website www.cdop.org under Catholic Education and then under Financial Assistance. Consult the detailed protocols and procedures and checklist for all requirements necessary to be eligible for an award.

Information about and application for the Randy Simmons Tuition Assistance Scholarship is available on the Peoria Notre Dame website: www.peorianotredame.com. The scholarship is awarded annually to one incoming freshman. Apply by February 15, 2020 for the class of 2024.

Kelly Needham Memorial Blood Drive will be Sat., Feb. 22  from 8am-12pm at in the St. Philomena banquet room. To sign up to give blood, go to www.redcrossblood.com and enter the sponsor code: STPHILS or contact Rhonda Parker in the parish office.

St. Philomena Parish offers a Montessori preschool for 3-year-old children, September-May, three days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We offer a program in the morning (8-11am) and afternoon (12-3pm). Join us for an Informational Parent Meeting for the 2020-21 school year on Thursday, January 30, 6:30-7:30pm in our St. Philomena Parish Center banquet room. We will overview the curriculum and schedule, provide a tour of the classroom, and distribute admission packets. No RSVP necessary.

The Scouts of our Parish will celebrate Scouting and our Catholic Faith on Sunday, February 2 at the 9:00am Mass. The Scouts who have earned religious awards will be recognized and the Scouts from our Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Girl Scout organizations will participate in the Mass. Please Join us after the 9:00am Mass for donuts, coffee and juice in the school cafeteria.

PND is coming to US on Sunday, February 9 after the 9am & 11am Masses in the parish center banquet room. Open to all families – not just junior high. Ask the questions. Meet the people. Learn about OUR Catholic High School, Peoria Notre Dame.

Save the date: Men’s Club Smoker is Sunday, February 16 from 12-5pm in the school gym/cafeteria.

Our next Women’s Night will be Wednesday, February 19 from 7-8:30pm in the parish center. Join us for a Mardi Gras celebration!

Fish Fry Dinners: Fridays, Feb. 28 & Mar 13 from 5-7:30pm in the school cafeteria, enter through the gym doors. Carry-outs available, (call-ahead orders are not). Drinks & desserts sold separately.
