Meet our choir members and ask questions at their “Meet and Greet” on Sunday, September 23 after the 11am Mass in the parish center link. They’d love to get to know you and have you join them in the loft on Sundays. If you can’t attend the meet and greet, contact the parish office if you’re interested or attend rehearsal on Wednesdays from 7-8:30pm in the choir loft.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, RCIA, is for non-Catholics, Catholics who are not Confirmed, and Catholics interested in learning more about the foundation of our beliefs as Catholics. There is no obligation or expectation to join the Catholic Church. Weekly classes are on Tuesdays 6:30-8:00pm in the Parish Center banquet room. Enter through the covered drop off doors. On November 10, St. Philomena School will host its 21st Annual Benefit Auction! The acquisitions committee is looking for items for both the silent and live auctions. Need ideas? We have them! Scrip cards or a monetary donation are happily accepted. Tiny Tigers Moms’ Group Fridays, through Dec. 14, 10-11:30am (no group when there is not school) in the parish center banquet room. Join other mothers of young children under the age of 5 for a time to be inspired, rest, and renewed as a wife, mother, and daughter of God. Lap babies are welcome, childcare provided for children walking through age 5. See the weekly bulletin for a list of upcoming topics.

Sign and Sing StoryTime will be Thursdays, Oct 4-Dec 6, 8:45-9:15am (no class Nov. 1 or 22) meeting in the parish center basement toddler room. Contact the parish office (309-682-8642, parish@stphils.com, or stop by) to register or if you’ve created an online profile in MyOwnChurch, register via the term 2018 Fall SnS. Cost is $35 per family and open to little ones up to age 4. Please register by Oct. 1.

The St. Philomena PTO is collecting your recipes for our latest St. Philomena cookbook! We’d love to hear from all parishioners! Email your recipes to: Lyndsey Ireland, laireland1@gmail.com. Email is preferred, but there are collection sheets in the parish and school offices as well as in the church. To submit a hard copy, please return it to the parish or school office or place it in the collection basket. If you have questions, contact Lyndsey at the email above or call 309-648-1918. All recipes are due by October 1.

Rachel’s Vineyard, a retreat for women and men struggling with the pain of abortion will be held the weekend of October 12-14, 2018 in the Peoria area.
