Suspension of Mass, Effective March 14, 2020

Dear friends Bishop Jenky sent a communication today to the people of the Diocese of Peoria (click here). As of Saturday, March 14, 2020 with the Vigil Mass, the bishop has suspended all public Masses in the diocese. At St. Philomena this will include closing the Adoration Chapel. There will be Mass tonight at St. Philomena, Friday, March 13, 2020...

Dear friend, We are all seeing the increase in cases of COVid-19/coronavirus in the United States. Many of the suburbs of Chicago now have reported cases. Universities are not allowing students to return from spring break, since they can’t ask where they traveled. I saw one report that MIT has told students they likely won’t return until the fall semester....
