From the Diocese of Peoria
Our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV released his first Apostolic Exhortation, Dilexi Te (“I Have Loved You” from Rev. 3:9)
This beautiful letter focuses on the love of God revealed in our care for the poor — reminding us that God’s love is most clearly seen in how we love and serve one another, especially those most in need.
This is an important document for all of us to read and reflect upon. In it, the Holy Father gives us clear direction and insight into the priorities he wishes to set before the Church. He invites us to recognize our shared calling to live as brothers and sisters, caring deeply for one another and responding to the needs of the poor with compassion and generosity.
As we take time to read and pray with Delexi Te, may we open our hearts to the Holy Father’s message and allow it to inspire us to live our faith more fully — grounded in love, mercy, and solidarity.
