3 Mar 2022 | Posted by: chadmin
As of today, March 3, 2022, the Catholic Diocese of Peoria now has a new leader, Bishop Louis Tylka (who prefers to called Bishop Lou). Bishop Lou succeeds Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, C.S.C., leader for the last 20 years. Bishop Jenky celebrates his 75th birthday today, the age which canon law states a bishop must submit his resignation to the pope. Pope Francis accepted that resignation today.
