6th grade Food Drive
28 Oct 2025 | Posted by: chadmin
For this year’s service project, the St. Philomena School 6th graders will organize a food drive for Sophia’s Kitchen. Students in all grades are invited to participate and bring in donations each day to your classroom. Sixth graders will be making presentations to the classes and more directions about the school-wide drive will be given to students at that time.
Parishioners who would like to participate can bring items to the link from November 14-20, 2025. The students will deliver all donations to Sophia’s Kitchen the morning of November 21, 2025 so we ask that no items be left in the link after November 20, 2025. You are, of course, welcome to bring items directly to Sophia’s Kitchen yourself after that date.
Remember, no glass please. Pop/pull-top cans are extremely helpful, as many do not have can openers.
Ideas of items needed: rice, cereal, pasta, sauce (no glass jars), granola bars, potatoes, stuffing, boxed meals (pasta & sauce, rice & vegetables, tuna, relish & mayo, etc.), coffee creamer, chocolate syrup, can openers (not electric), hand lotion, nail polish, canned meats, hot pads, oven mitts, cooking utensils, packaged paper towels, toilet plungers, packaged toilet paper, Kleenex, detergent, dryer sheets, Clorox wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, canned fruits and vegetables, canned pineapple.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
