School Musical: Disney’s Little Mermaid, Jr.

(March 16, 2022) Students from St. Philomena School will perform “Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr.” in the historic Peoria Players Theatre on April 8, 9 and 10. Tickets for the production will go on sale on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. in the Parish Office. Tickets are $9 each (check and cash only) and are available for four show times:

• [SOLD OUT] Friday, April 8 (7:00 p.m.),
• Saturday, April 9 (1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) and
• Sunday, April 10 (1:30 p.m.).

Tickets will be available for sale during regular Parish Office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Traditionally, tickets for the musical have sold out, don’t wait too long to make your purchase.

Become a Sponsor for St. Philomena’s Production of Little Mermaid!
There are two ways you can become a sponsor and support this year’s musical production:

• Make a donation and receive ad space in the show’s program where you can either run an ad for your business, or send “break a leg” wishes to the cast.
• If you don’t want to run an ad, you can have your name listed in the program as a “Patron of the Arts” in exchange for your donation. Any donation amount is appreciated.

Sponsorships are due by March 31, 2022 so you can be included in the program. For details or to sign up, click here.

Catholic Schools Week 2022

Be sure to visit us during our open house on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. as we kick off Catholic Schools Week. Classrooms will be open, including art, music, library, and teachers will be present to show their rooms. We hope to see you there!

Stop by the cafeteria for our mid-year used uniform sale sponsored by the PTO. This is a great chance to pick up something to replace an item your child has outgrown already. Stop by and see what we have. All items are $3.00, payable by cash, check or through our online portal.

We KNOW your kids have outgrown at least some uniform items since the start of school. Maybe you even have pieces from previous years. We are here to help you start 2022 by cleaning out your closet! Help us with the first step for a mid-year sale by donating your items. Here is how:

• Collection Dates: January 8-23, 2022

• Items Accepted:
  • School Uniforms – jumpers, skirts, pants, shorts, button-up shirts, collared shirts, uniform sweatshirts & sweaters, tights/leggings, spirit wear, uniform-approved shoes & accessories
  • Sports Equipment – shoes & equipment for baseball, softball, soccer, wrestling, volleyball, track/XC and basketball

All donated items should be clean and gently used. Please no worn out or holey items.

Robotics Team Olio

On Saturday, December 11, 2021 all three of our robotics teams competed at Regionals at Woodruff. Team Olio, made up of students in grades 6, 7 and 8, won an award for their Innovation Project and is advancing to State. Way to go, Tigers!
