We are excited to celebrate our teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week May 4 – 8, 2026. PTO has many things planned to pamper our teachers and show them how much they mean to each and every one of us. Our theme is inspired by a rendition of Mother Teresa’s quote “Do small things with great love.” We challenge each member of our community during the week to find a way to show our teachers and staff great love through small acts of kindness.

Free and easy ideas are below along with links, graphics, and ways to help. Thank you for making this week one that our teachers will remember, one where when small acts of kindness add up, they feel the great love of the St. Philomena community.

GIFT CROWD: TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK/END OF YEAR GIVING

We have created a GiftCrowd link if you’d like to contribute monetarily to a collective gift card that each teacher/staff member chooses. This event will be ongoing through the month of May which can include both Teacher Appreciation Week and/or End of School giving. It’s up to you! The event closes on the last day of school, May 22, at noon.

KONA ICE:  PAYMENT – $3/STUDENT  or  VOLUNTEER

We plan to have Kona Ice cap off the week on May 8 with a sweet treat for every student. Please use this link to pay for your student’s sno cone cost of $3 per student. If you’d like to volunteer to help with the event, please sign up here.

TEACHER TREATS IN LOUNGE

Teachers and staff will look forward to treats and drinks all week with the generosity of our families. Click this link to contribute throughout the week. Each donation is greatly appreciated.

After the Mass where the priest blesses and honors mothers, join us in the banquet room for a special brunch to celebrate motherhood and our community. CLICK HERE to RSVP for Mass. 

Used uniform and sports equipment sales are held twice a year: Summer for back-to-school and January during the Catholic Schools Week open house. Sales are an opportunity for families to go through and empty closets, and also pick up items that are in good shape. It’s always nice to have extra pieces for those growth spurts!

Socialize and learn about what is means to be active in our PTO.  All current St. Philomena School parents are invited!

A great opportunity to celebrate our grandparents! They are invited into the school for ice cream and cookies shared with their grandchildren. There is also an opportunity to tour classrooms and meet teachers. 

St. Philomena Parish families are invited to join us for the St. Philomena Ice Cream Social on Saturday, September 12, 2026 after the 4:30 p.m. Mass. There will be games, prizes, food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, and of course, plenty of ice cream.

Bring the whole family to play at Tanner’s and meet other school families. Free admission to the Back 40 playground for St. Philomena families and an opportunity to shop the market and eat dinner at the cafe. Don’t forget to bring home some apple cider donuts!

Celebrate Halloween with St. Philomena School! St. Philomena children can collect candy with their friends and family in a safe and fun environment in our parking lot. Decorate your car for a chance to win prizes. Please bring plenty of candy, you will get lots of trick or treaters! This event is for St. Philomena families, please do not share publicly. In order to make this event a success for all, if your student is participating, they will need to be accompanied by a car so there are enough goodies to go around.

Our annual benefit auction is our only fundraiser held for the school. This event helps support St. Philomena and the proceeds will enrich the Catholic education of our children by supporting talented faculty, providing funds for improvements to the building, and keeping St. Philomena School on the forefront of technology and the arts. The in-person event in our parish banquet room. Purchase a ticket and enjoy dinner, great fellowship and a front row seat to our live auction event. Tour our school and meet our teachers, learn more about our academics and extra curricular activities and meet some of our students. The open house will take place after the Sunday 9:00 a.m. Mass, approximately 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. All are welcome. 

Join us for a fun night of meeting other St. Philomena parents and flex those brains – are you smarter than your fourth grader? Form a team of eight and enjoy the cash bar provided by our Men’s Club and snacks while competing through rounds of trivia. Prizes for the winner.

Our popular father and daughter dance! Create precious memories with our photo booth, grab a snack from our sweets tables and bust-a-move on the dance floor.
