Mr. Dippold taught fourth grade for eight years before coming to St. Philomena as the assistant principal in the 2017-18 school year. He was then named principal for the 2018-19 school year.  He is a St. Philomena alum and earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Knox College and a  Master's in Educational Leadership from Western Illinois University.  Mr. Dippold is married and has three children, Lincoln, Henry and Ruby.  Mr. Dippold enjoys cooking, watching football (especially Ohio State), taking walks and playing with his family.

Mrs. Schmidt has been the school secretary since 2010.  She enjoys traveling with her husband, Tom, visiting their son, Kyle, in Chicago, time with friends, hiking, the beach and rooting for the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Mrs. Whalen begins her first year as school secretary in 2022.  She has been the coordinator for St. Philomena's RaiseRight Scrip program since 2020, and has been a stay-at-home mom since 2017. Mrs. Whalen earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is a native of Edelstein, IL and is married to Ryan. They have three children, Michael, Gregory and Laura. Mrs. Whalen's favorite things to do are reading, amateur hiking, sitting outside watching her kids play, baking desserts, going to baseball games and playing board/card games.
