Statement of Faith

As Catholic Christians, we believe that we are made in the image of God to know, love, and serve Him; and, to live with Him eternally in Heaven. As a faith community, we share in the sacramental life of the Church and daily support one another on our spiritual journey. As a school community, we are committed to "bringing faith to life and life to faith."

About Us

St. Philomena School is a Catholic elementary school accompanied by a Catholic Church nestled within an established family neighborhood in Peoria, IL. It is our job to help prepare students to be responsive to the needs of others and to meet the challenges and opportunities of a global world. Our core curriculum is infused with Gospel values, the arts and technology, with the goal of “bringing faith to life and life to faith.” Learn more about us by calling our school and asking questions. We invite your curiosity!

It’s our job here at St. Philomena School to prepare our students to face the future with confidence, armed not just with academic knowledge and skills, but also with a strong commitment to faith and family, leadership and responsibility, creativity and innovation, compassion and service. Here at our private school, we want our students to model Christ, become diligent life-long learners and act as responsible citizens in the global community.

We believe this can only happen when powerful partnerships are formed between students, faculty and staff, clergy, parents and parishioners all working together in this journey.
