All after school and evening activities, practices and events are cancelled for Monday, January 28, 2019. After Care WILL be open as usual.

Our campus has become very slick from this morning’s precipitation and today’s decrease in temperature. When coming to campus today please proceed slowly and with caution. We are working on salting our grounds but anticipate conditions to still warrant caution.

TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE for the rescheduled show on Saturday, January 19, 2019.

The weather was not our friend this year, so we had to reschedule the show to Saturday, January 19. If the dress rehearsal last Friday night was any indication of how great this will be, you will want to attend this year’s show. These performers are wonderful. Food, drink, and so much fun! The show will be held at the St. Philomena Parish Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online by clicking here, or you can purchase them at the St. Philomena parish office Monday-Friday, between 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. All proceeds go to support the arts at St. Philomena School.

Mrs. Sue Tony, junior high science teacher, was recently informed that her classroom will receive a $371 grant from the PNC Foundation and Ruby K. Worner Charitable Trust. There were 141 proposals and Mrs. Tony’s was one of 37 that were chosen.

The grant money will go toward purchasing supplies for the science unit on The Diversity of Interacting Subsystems with a focus on Mammal and Amphibian  Anatomy.

Thank you, Mrs. Tony, for your continued wise use of resources and congratulations.
