Allowed sports donations are those which we offer here at St. Philomena School: softball, soccer, golf, wrestling, volleyball, track, cross country and basketball. Sports shoes are accepted if they are in good, usable condition.
SALE LOCATION CHANGE: The sale will take place on July 27 in the parish center basement from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Chess National Tournament

(May 29, 2025) — In May, Evan Van Ryn, Leo Van Ryn, Lawrence Van Ryn, and Ben Ibeck from the St. Philomena School Chess Club competed at the US Chess 2025 Supernationals in Orlando, FL. This tournament included 5,000 participants. In the middle school U1400 section, our Tigers placed 8th.
Lawrence placed 11th overall and Ben placed 16th overall, with 5.5 points out of 7 and 5 points out of 7 respectively. Evan and Leo contributed to the team result.
Ben has only been competing for 1.5 years. This finish is a really big individual achievement for him at the largest tournament in the country.
A special shout out for our 4th grader, Leo, who played up in the Middle School section so our team could have a full roster of four kids.

Teacher Appreciation Week 2025
Posted by spadmin

Join us as we celebrate our faculty members the week of May 5-9, 2025. Parents should look for an email from PTO on April 29, 2025.
Suggested ways you can show your teachers appreciation: drawings and notes, flowers from your yard, visit the adoration chapel to pray and write a note on a card (provided inside the chapel). For those who wish to make a monetary donation toward a gift card, contribute to our GIFTCROWD site. And if you’re looking to provide a little something else, HERE is the staff faves list.
