Starting with the 2023-24 school year, Mrs. Kelly Moyer joins the staff of St. Philomena School as the music teacher. A native of Bettendorf, Iowa she received a BA in music education from Augustana and a master's in music education from Illinois State University. Kelly has taught general music and choir since 2009 in Galesburg and East Peoria. Kelly lives with her husband and daughter. In her spare time she loves reading, playing violin, plants and succulents, and brush lettering.  Fun facts about Mrs. Moyer, "I play violin professionally in the area, I love all things French and have been to Paris twice!"

Mrs. Murphy has taught sixth through eighth grade Language Arts  at St. Philomena since 2010-11 with six additional years of teaching experience.  Mrs. Murphy is from Peoria and received a degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.  She has two sons, Matt and Jack.  Mrs. Murphy enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, cooking, and reading.

Mrs. Myers started working at St. Philomena in 2018 as a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd teacher for grades PreK-3rd. In 2019-20, she added counselor for grades PreK-4 to her duties on our campus. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Loras College and a Masters Degree in School Counseling from Bradley University. A native of Peoria, she is married to Dan and they have five children: Maggie, Ben, Kathryn, Mary and Jacob.  Mrs. Myers loves to read, go on walks and spend time with her family.

Mrs. Phelps began as an aide with our Kindergarten in 2021-2022. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In her free time she enjoys running, reading classic literature and spending time with her husband, their three kids and their dog, Princess Leia. Mrs. Phelps is also one of our many St. Philomena graduates on staff in the school.

Mrs. Randall is a native of Lourdes, Iowa. She holds a psychology degree with a minor in Family Studies from the University of St. Thomas and a Masters of Education from the University of St. Francis. Mrs. Randall began teaching in 2013 with experience in grades 5th-8th, her first school year at St. Philomena was 2019-20. She and her husband have three children. In her personal time, she enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and being outside with her family. She also enjoys being active by running or playing sports.

Mrs. Salander has taught kindergarten at St. Philomena since 2010-11.  She has been teaching early childhood classes (toddler, pre-k and kindergarten) since 1991.  Mrs. Salander is from Princeton and earned an Associate's degree in Education at Illinois Central College and a Bachelor's degree at Illinois State University.  She has been married to her husband Steve since 1992 and has a son, Colin now married to Regan and expecting their first child, and a daughter, Haley.  Mrs. Salander enjoys walking outside and watching sporting events, especially the ones her children played, (football and soccer).
