Mrs. King has taught at St. Philomena in the STEM Center since 2008-09. She is from Peoria and earned a degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University. Mrs. King has two daughters and one son. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Mrs. Legate has taught second and third grades at St. Philomena since 2007-08. She is from Abingdon, IL and earned a Bachelor's degree from Illinois State University. Mrs. Legate is married with three sons, Joe, Sam, and Owen.

Mr. Mathern taught PE at St. Philomena starting in 2016-17. In 2020-21 he transitioned to a classroom teacher for 5th grade. He has been teaching since 2007 and has taught kindergarten through twelfth grade students during that time. Mr. Mathern is from Bismarck, ND and earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education from University of North Dakota. He is married and has three children, Daniel, Leo, and Diana. Mr. Mathern enjoys coaching wrestling.

Mrs. Myers started working at St. Philomena in 2018 as a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd teacher for grades PreK-3rd. In 2019-20, she added counselor for grades PreK-4 to her duties on our campus. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Loras College and a Masters Degree in School Counseling from Bradley University. A native of Peoria, she is married to Dan and they have five children: Maggie, Ben, Kathryn, Mary and Jacob. Mrs. Myers loves to read, go on walks and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Murphy has taught sixth through eighth grade Language Arts at St. Philomena since 2010-11 with six additional years of teaching experience. Mrs. Murphy is from Peoria and received a degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She has two sons, Matt and Jack. Mrs. Murphy enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, cooking, and reading.
Mrs. Randall is a native of Lourdes, Iowa. She holds a psychology degree with a minor in Family Studies from the University of St. Thomas and a Masters of Education from the University of St. Francis. Mrs. Randall began teaching in 2013 with experience in grades 5th-8th, her first school year at St. Philomena is 2019-20. She and her husband have two children who both attend St. Philomena School. In her personal time, she enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and being outside with her family. She also enjoys being active by running or playing sports.

Mrs. Salander has taught kindergarten at St. Philomena since 2010-11. She has been teaching early childhood classes (toddler, pre-k and kindergarten) since 1991. Mrs. Salander is from Princeton and earned an Associate's degree in Education at Illinois Central College and a Bachelor's degree at Illinois State University. She has been married to her husband Steve since 1992 and has a son, Colin, and a daughter, Haley. Mrs. Salander enjoys walking outside and watching sporting events, especially the ones her children play.
Mrs. Smith (formerly Miss Williams) has taught music to preschool through eighth grade students at St. Philomena since 2016-17. Mrs. Smith married her Prince Charming, Tyler, in the summer of 2020. She is from Peoria and earned Bachelor's degrees in Music and Communication from Bradley University. Mrs. Smith has been performing since before she could talk and has played the lead in several local musicals, a few favorites being Cinderella in Cinderella, Cosette in Les Miserables, Maria in West Side Story, and Luisa in The Fantasticks. She is also the music director for St. Philomena Church.
