The people of St. Philomena Parish are happy to once again host the Peoria Municipal Band for a Friday Night Concert on June 21, 2024. The band will set up outside at the front doors of our church, 1000 W Albany, Peoria. Bring a lawn chair and your own snacks and drinks. The band begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. and plays for about an hour. Please join us for this family-friendly event.
Be sure to arrive in enough time to allow time for parking and setting up your lawn chairs. The gate at the Albany entrance to the campus will close no later than 6:30 p.m. After that time, cars must enter campus off of Twelve Oaks.
We will pass the basket during the concert to help cover the costs for the band. If you prefer to write a check, please make it payable to Community Foundation of Central Illinois, with Peoria Municipal Band on the memo line. Your donations are appreciated and allow the band to perform in concerts just like this one.
The original concerts were done in an attempt to bring people from the surrounding neighborhood associations together and to share an enjoyable evening event. The concert also allows folks from all around the Peoria area come to witness the strength, culture, and friendliness of our part of the city while they enjoyed the wonderful entertainment provided by the Municipal Band.
