Catholic Church Ceremony Peoria IL

St. Philomena: A Catholic Church Ceremony Peoria IL Can Participate Fully In

From weddings and First Communions to Baptisms and Confirmations, St. Philomena offers the Catholic Church ceremony Peoria IL can count on for beauty, grace and peace. Our church is a welcoming sanctuary for those who want to celebrate the next step of their lives. St. Philomena Parish is a proud Catholic Church with an affiliated Catholic elementary grade school nestled in a family-friendly neighborhood in Peoria.

In addition to a variety of Mass times, confession times, community events, ministries and faith formation programs, we embrace and celebrate all Sacraments here at St. Philomena. That means lots of ceremonies! Join us for your Sacrament celebration, such as:

  • Baptism: Held every Sunday except the last Sunday of the month. First-time parents take part in Baptism preparation with one of our clergy.
  • Confirmation: Offered to St. Philomena students in the eighth grade through the school and parish Faith Formation programs. Adults wishing to be confirmed can do so through the RCIA program.
  • First Holy Communion: For information about students’ First Holy Communion, please go to the school’s Faith Formation page or contact the parish office.
  • Matrimony: Couples should contact one of the priests at least eight months prior to their wedding to schedule a date and set appointments for marriage preparation meetings.

In keeping with our mission of “Bringing Faith to Life and Life to Faith,” St. Philomena Parish works to inspire families, parishioners, students and staff to more deeply understand and embrace their Catholic identity. Named after St. Philomena, our church honors the memory of the patron saint of children, youth, babies, infants, lost causes, sterility and virgins.
