{"id":3097,"date":"2023-04-27T16:04:01","date_gmt":"2023-04-27T16:04:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stphils.com\/school\/?p=3097"},"modified":"2023-04-27T17:50:29","modified_gmt":"2023-04-27T17:50:29","slug":"2nd-grade-stewardship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stphils.com\/school\/2nd-grade-stewardship\/","title":{"rendered":"2nd Grade Stewardship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(April 26, 2023) &#8212; The second grade classrooms are partnering with the Animal Care Club at Peoria Notre Dame High School and Foster Pet Outreach for a service project.\u00a0 Representatives from both organizations came to talk to the kids (along with a few furry friends), to educate them on their mission and needs.<\/p>\n<p>Students will be making cards in the classrooms that will be sent home with families who rescue an animal from Foster Pet Outreach.\u00a0 As part of the project, classes also talked about raising money and donating supplies to help.\u00a0 They discussed acts of service, and reminded students that they should be willing to complete a task(s) at home to earn the money that they would like to donate to the animals.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to support the 2nd grade service project, they will be accepting<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stphils.com\/school\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/2023-2nd-gr-service-5-300x172.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"172\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3099 alignright\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stphils.com\/school\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/2023-2nd-gr-service-5-300x172.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.stphils.com\/school\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/2023-2nd-gr-service-5-1024x586.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.stphils.com\/school\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/2023-2nd-gr-service-5-768x440.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.stphils.com\/school\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/2023-2nd-gr-service-5-1536x880.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.stphils.com\/school\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/2023-2nd-gr-service-5.jpg 2001w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/> donations at school from May 1 &#8211; May 12.\u00a0 Some items that are always needed are:\u00a0 dog and cat food (dry and canned), dog and cat treats, fleece and wool blankets, cat litter, collars, leashes, gently used wire kennels and toys.
