Two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain strength, may be taken according to one\u2019s needs, but together they should not equal another full meal. Eating between meals is not permitted but liquids, including milk and fruit juices, are allowed. When health would be seriously affected, the law does not oblige. To disregard completely the law of fast and abstinence is a serious matter.<\/p>\n<h5>Collection On Ash Wednesday<\/h5>\n<p>The collection on Ash Wednesday will support Catholic Relief Services. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stphils.com\/church\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2022-Ash-Wednesday-Bishop-Letter.pdf\">Click here to read a letter from Bishop Jenky<\/a><\/span> about the efforts of this organization. You can give using your Ash Wednesday envelope or cash in the collection basket, or give online by clicking DONATE at the top of this page.
