Reception of Holy Communion at St. Philomena<\/strong><\/p>\n

Instructions: Enter campus from Albany Avenue, turning left into the main parking lot.\u00a0 Proceed to park behind a cone or line of cars facing Twelve Oaks.\u00a0 Park and turn off car to pray.\u00a0 When Communion is brought to your car, roll down the window nearest each person receiving Communion.\u00a0 If you are wearing a mask, remove before receiving Communion.\u00a0 Communion should be received in the hand.\u00a0 Below are prayers to help you prepare to receive Communion while waiting in your car.\u00a0 The last prayer should be said after receiving Communion.\u00a0 Say these prayers privately or together as a family aloud.\u00a0 When the cone in front of your line is removed, please follow the traffic pattern to exit campus onto Twelve Oaks Drive.<\/em><\/p>\n

(Make the sign of the cross)<\/em>\u00a0 In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.\u00a0 Amen.\u00a0 In preparation for Holy Communion, we pray to God asking for forgiveness from our sins.<\/p>\n

Confiteor<\/strong><\/p>\n

I confess to Almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault; therefore I ask Blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.<\/p>\n

Prayer before Receiving Holy Communion<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, Who, by the will of the Father, with the cooperation of the Holy Spirit, by Your Death and Resurrection gave life to the world, deliver me by Your Most Sacred Body and Blood from all my sins and from every evil.\u00a0 Make me always cling to Your commandments, and never permit me to be separated from You. With God the Father and the Holy Spirit, who live and reign, one God, forever and ever.\u00a0 Amen.<\/p>\n

Lord\u2019s Prayer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Uniting our prayer to the Universal Church we pray:\u00a0 Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.<\/p>\n

Reception of Holy Communion<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lord, I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof; but only say the word, and my soul shall be healed.<\/p>\n

Lord Jesus, thank You for the Real Presence of Your Body and Blood in the Holy Eucharist.\u00a0 I believe You know me and Will my good.\u00a0 Protect and guide all those serving the sick and restoring our society.\u00a0 Heal my weaknesses and forgive my sins. \u00a0Help me to love and serve You and my neighbor.\u00a0 In Your name, may Your peace reign in our hearts, our families, and our world.\u00a0 Amen.<\/p>\n
