Today we celebrate good St. Joseph, spouse of Mary.\u00a0 We thank God for our grandfathers, fathers, brothers, and godfathers that are here on earth or in Heaven.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After traveling from Nazareth to Bethlehem for the census Mary gave birth to Jesus in Bethlehem. Joseph was then warned in a dream by Herod to not return to Nazareth but to go to Egypt to keep Jesus from harm. St. Joseph with great haste responded to God\u2019s commands. St. Joseph helps us to imitate your trust in God to be docile and obedient to the commands of our Lord.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

St. Joseph Prayer for Fathers<\/strong><\/p>\n

St. Joseph, guardian of Jesus and chaste husband of Mary, you passed your life in loving fulfillment of duty.\u00a0 You supported the holy family of Nazareth with the work of your hands. Kindly protect those who trustingly come to you.\u00a0 You know their aspirations their hardships, their hopes. They look to you because they know you will understand and protect them. \u00a0 You too knew trial, labor and weariness. But amid the worries of material life, your soul was full of deep peace and sang out in true joy through intimacy with God\u2019s Son entrusted to you and with Mary, his tender Mother.\u00a0 Assure those you protect that they do not labor alone. Teach them to find Jesus near them and to watch over him faithfully as you have done.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
