The Church Peoria IL Residents Can Place Their Faith In<\/h2>\n

St. Philomena Church is a welcoming sanctuary for those who want peace and to serve the Lord. \u201cBringing Faith to Life and Life to Faith\u201d is our mission and we live it every single day. Thus, we are the church Peoria IL can place their faith in. We have convenient Mass times<\/strong><\/a> and Confession times for young and old. Nestled in a family neighborhood in Peoria, St. Philomena Parish is a Catholic Church<\/strong><\/a> with an affiliated Catholic elementary grade school.<\/p>\n

It is our goal to inspire families, parishioners, students and staff to more deeply understand and embrace our Catholic identity. We do this as we look ahead to the coming of God\u2019s reign. We are named after Philomena, the patron saint of children, youth, babies, infants, lost causes, sterility and virgins. Her feast day is August 11.<\/p>\n

A Community of Believers<\/h2>\n

St. Philomena Roman Catholic Congregation, part of the Catholic Diocese of Peoria, is an ingrained part of the community of Peoria. In addition, we offer many opportunities to participate in church happenings.<\/a><\/strong> Our Liturgical Ministers, for example, are an integral part of each Mass thanks to our many Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Ushers and Altar Servers. Also, we offer a variety of Faith Formation programs. These include anything from Bible Study Groups and Women\u2019s Ministry to Children\u2019s Sunday School and Liturgical Youth Programs.<\/p>\n

For busy parents with small children, we have a staffed church nursery during the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses. Designed for kids six months of age to two years of age, parents can use this time to participate fully in Mass.<\/p>\n
