Speech Team meets during January through March. Diocesan competition for Region 1 Catholic schools is known as the Bishop O’Rourke Speech League Contest. It will be held at Holy Family School in Peoria on Thursday, March 24. A “Family Fun Night” for the friends and families of the performers at which the students preview their speeches is held one week prior to the competition. Our students also perform in the classrooms before the contest for more practice before a live audience.
