Welcome to St. Philomena School!

Whether you're a first-time "virtual visitor" or a returning parent or student, welcome to our St. Philomena School web-site. It will give you a real feel for our school community, plus keep you current on all the school happenings ... and there are many things happening in our school!

The new school year brings new faces, new places, and new programs to St. Phil's. The newly-refurbished Learning Center creates an exciting new environment for enhanced technology learning, a comprehensive library program, and collaborative multi-media projects. Our new Fine Arts Wing, featuring a new art room, brings a new visual art program to grades K-8. The Fine Arts Wing also brings a new performance space ("St. Phil-harmonic Hall") to support our drama/speech programs, as well as our expanded music program. Students have an opportunity to participate in a Children’s Church Choir and competitive swing choirs.

Of course, St. Philomena’s tradition of and commitment to educational excellence remains firm. Our comprehensive academic program prepares students for their role in the mission of Jesus through a comprehensive faith formation program. It promotes academic excellence anchored in the richness and rigor of the Catholic Intellectual tradition; while developing the intellectual “Habits of Mind,” those behaviors that support knowing how to act intelligently and productively in a complex and ever changing world. Our extra-curricular programs offer opportunities for students to develop many different talents and gifts.

While we support our local neighborhood, we also understand we have a role to play in our global neighborhood. Here at St. Philomena School, we continue to move forward with a powerful partnership between students, faculty and staff, clergy, parents, and parishoners, “bringing life to our faith and our faith to life.” We're glad to have you on our journey.
