About the Program
The program intertwines daily prayer, reflection, and lessons to deepen students’ Catholic identity, plus increase their awareness of different cultures and faith. The program also includes:
  • visits from the priests
  • visits to the Perpetual Adoration Chapel
  • opportunities to become altar servers (boys and girls) beginning in 5th grade. A one-time, two-hour training session is required. The altar server schedule is prepared by the Religious Education office.
  • a Youth Program offered through the parish.
  • preparation for the sacraments of First Confession and First Communion in Second grade. In preparation for First Communion, students (and parent volunteers) participate in a “Jesus Day” retreat held the Friday prior to making the sacrament. The retreat includes a tour of the church, an opportunity to go to confession, crafts, baking bread, and a special lunch. Short services (in church) are also held prior to each sacrament for parents to increase awareness of what the students are studying and how to reinforce the concepts at home.
  • preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation in Eighth grade includes a special Enrollment Mass in November and an all-day retreat held off-campus.
  • liturgical prayer services including, Stations of the Cross and the Rosary.
